Crime Prevention Panels are voluntary community groups that work in partnership with the various UK county constabularies and Neighbourhood Watches, providing advice and practical assistance in crime prevention measures to the general public.
North Herts Crime Prevention Panel (NHCPP) operates in Hitchin, Baldock, Royston, Letchworth Garden City and the rural areas around those towns. The panel works under the direction of a small management committee working in close co-ordination with the district police commander (Chief Inspector) for North Hertfordshire.
We offer crime prevention advice to the community, participate in crime prevention operations and sell a number of crime prevention products. We have an extensive stock of leaflets, posters and handouts on crime prevention and personal safety. From time to time we also run crime prevention talks for the public.
